Fundraisers

In June and July we are celebrating street art. 10% of Giraffe-Necked Weevil in all bases will go to a yet-to-be-determined local community art project. As of Monday, 17 June, we have collected $74.36 We hope you'll grab a skein and help the effort!

April and May have come to a close and our collecion for Blackwater Refuge has come to a close, having raised $282.62. Thank you to all of you who bought Green Hairstreak during those months!

A huge thank you to everyone who bought a skein or more of Painted Grasshawk in any base during February and March! We collected just over $500 for the local metastatic breast cancer organization METAvivor.

The June-July colours are Wattle Cup Caterpillar, Cairn's Birdwing, Lilac Hawthorn Rat, Giraffe Necked Weevil, Phrictus Hopper, Big-Headed Caterpillar. They will appear for two months in Bugga!, Mithril, Traveller, and Eidos, and may also make appearances in Codex in some updates.

Monday, June 17th, 9 pm: Z. Caerulea, Fiery Searcher Beetle, and Lubber Grasshopper in Bugga!, Eidos, and Traveller; Blue Stick Insect in Codex.

Monday, June 24th, 10 am: Emerald Ash Borer in Bugga!, Eidos, and Traveller; Cowkiller and Osmia Avosetta Nest in Bugga!, Eidos, Traveller, Mithril, and Codex.

Events Schedule:

May 4-5: Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival - find us in both 20A in the Main Exhibit Hall, half way up the left wall, beside Piland's jewelry.

June 8th: World Wide Knit in Public Day - join us at Thompson Park in Easton (at the corner of Washington and Dover) from 2:30-5. Rain location: Rise Up Coffee on Dover.

August 8-11: Stitches Midwest - At last! We've decided to head out to Chicagoland for the first time and we're very excited!

September 28-29: Shenandoah Valley Fiber Festival - Another new show for us.

November 2, 2013: VG Open House - from 10 am to 4 pm, join us at the studio for a fun day of food, music, knitting hangout time, custom dyeing, and of course unlimited yarn shopping! In the evening we'll plan a dinner at a local restaurant. Stay tuned for information about local hotel group rates. Also, if you plan to stay in town, we'll having knitting and coffee time at the local and amazing Rise Up Coffee on Dover St. in Easton.
